为了让所有这些都运转起来，你必须把哪一件事做得特别好？

答案：“决策。”

事实上，杰夫·贝索斯以能够快速果断地做出决策而闻名，并且他也把这种价值观灌输到了他各种业务的文化中。

他的理念是：“速度会带来更多的实验，更多的实验会带来创新，而创新会带来更多独特且成功的产品。”

但即使速度通常是首要任务，他也不会急于做出每一个决策。正如我们很快将要发现的，并非所有决策都应该迅速做出。

相反，杰夫依赖一个看似简单的框架来做出决策，正是它的简单性使其变得天才。

那么你可能会问，这个框架是什么？他是如何工作的？

这个称之为“门”决策框架：“单向门，双向门”，生活中有两种类型的决策，单向门和双向门。

双向门是指那些无论看起来如何，都没有真正后果的决策，你总是可以改变主意并走回去。
单向门则相反：一旦你通过，就再也回不去了——至少没有重大后果的话是回不去的。
为了利用这个框架的力量，你必须首先学会意识到并区分这两种决策类型（单向或双向）。

最简单的方法是回答两个问题：如果我做出这个决定，最坏的结果会是什么？（有条理地列出你害怕的所有事情）。
如果这些事情中的任何一件发生了，我将如何使事情重回正轨？
这种“设定恐惧”的练习将让你清楚地看到一个决策是否容易逆转——即你是否可以“走回去”。

然后，你针对这两种类型的决策积极应用不同的策略：

双向门：快速行动


双向门的策略很简单：“你应该推动自己尽快做出这些决策。”

如果你像我一样是一个神经质的过度思考者，这最初会让你感到不舒服。当你做对了的时候，你会觉得有些鲁莽。

事实上，一个好的经验法则是：“你应该在还没有完全准备好之前就做出每一个双向门的决策。”

按照美国著名投资人亚历克斯·霍尔莫齐（Alex Hormozi）的说法：“他这样的人和刚开始创业的人之间最大的区别在于，他每四个小时就做出一个决策，而这个决策可能需要初学者一个月的时间才能做出。”

显然，这会产生巨大的累积效应，你很快就会发现，大多数决策都是双向门。

贝索斯以快速决策而闻名，是因为他认为：“对于这类决策来说，等待太久比做错再纠正的成本更高。”

单向门：慢慢来


就像你快速通过双向门的速度应该让你感到惊讶一样，你同样应该对你耐心地走过单向门感到印象深刻。

如果你熟悉丹尼尔·卡尼曼（Daniel Kahneman）的工作，这就是“慢思考”应该被允许进入决策过程的地方。

在进入单向门之前，要尽可能地不遗漏任何细节。正如贝索斯在采访中所说：“只要还有另一个可能的选择，就应该进行评估。” 这里最大的启示是意识到花时间是可以的。

必须允许这个过程自然结束。人们常常搞砸这一点，因为他们认为自己必须做出决策——所以他们仓促行事。

经典例子：“我们已经在一起X年了，所以我们必须结婚，对吧？”

但是，对于单向门决策来说，这不是正确的策略，它们不能仓促决定。

我们中的很多人缺乏对每个决策本质的认识，这导致我们在应该快速行动的情况下过度思考，却仓促地做出重大决策，结果却陷入处理未预见到的后果的困境。

因此，只要对这两种类型的决策有清晰的认识，并为每种决策采用有针对性的策略，就可以使决策过程变得容易10倍，也更有效。
